Coffee Partnerships
Child Aid brings the good cause.
Coffee partners bring the great coffee.
Together, we change the world.
Imagine drinking a cup of coffee that tastes like a smile. Pretty potent brew, right?
These days, the socially conscious coffee drinker wants to know their daily cup of joe transforms the world for good. A partnership with Child Aid tells that good story.
We’re a trusted and capable social cause, and we draw a straight storyline – using video, photos and social messaging – from a coffee lover’s steaming morning cup back to the coffee-growing regions of Guatemala and the poverty-busting work we do for the children who live in these communities. When Child Aid shows up in Guatemalan elementary schools loaded with high-quality books, a well-rounded curriculum and excellent teacher training, these kids’ futures grow brighter by a few thousand megawatts. We help children learn to read, write and advocate for themselves.
That’s pretty great. And we do this work through financial partnerships with coffee companies that source their beans in Guatemala and know how important it is to link their product with the philanthropic work we do. A vibrant partnership like this is enough to put a smile on the face of any coffee lover.
Our Coffee Partners
Ethical Bean Coffee
Their name says it all: philanthropy and coffee work together. A long-term Child Aid partner, Ethical Bean Coffee most recently supports the Child Aid literacy coaching programs that transform Guatemalan classrooms in more than 100 elementary schools into learning centers where young minds are challenged. Since 2004, Ethical Bean Coffee has provided more than $150,000 to Child Aid through the FUNDIT Scholarship program that provided more than 560 primary, middle and high school students the monies necessary to continue their learning.
Jim’s Organic Coffee
This coffee company proudly serves ethically sourced organic beans to customers who care deeply about giving back to the communities where their coffee is sourced. Jim’s Organic Coffee demonstrates that same interest level by engaging in Child Aid’s school sponsorship program. Jim’s Organic finances an extensive four-year Child Aid program in a hand-picked school and picks up the tab for all teacher training, school library book provisions, as well as the sponsorship of literacy book clubs for students. Jim’s deep commitment to fostering a school through an entire Child Aid program is a game-changer for an entire community.
3-19 Coffee
This specialty coffee roaster focuses on supporting small coffee farmers and nonprofits throughout the world, and 3-19’s partnership with Child Aid is exemplified by a series of robust social media and email outreach campaigns that feature coffee offers that directly benefit Child Aid. 3-19 promotes ongoing Guatemalan coffee bag sales featuring a $5 donation that flows back to Child Aid. Additionally, Child Aid and 3-19 have collaborated on a set of high-end coffee gift tins ($100/set) — available at the 2020 holiday season — and perfect for gift giving. Forty percent of the proceeds from these collector tins benefit Child Aid.
